Our Associations and Charities

PTAG Makhos Seven Generations Joint Venture

Our Joint Venture was formed as part of PTAG’s Reconciliation Action with the Makhos Reconciliation plan to help advance and co-create opportunities that provide sustainable and beneficial relationships aligned with the priorities and objectives of Indigenous Peoples and our clients.

The PTAG Makhos Seven Generations (PM7G) is a Joint Venture between Makhos and PTAG Inc. which combines the Indigenous engagement, advisory, consulting, and training experience of Makhos with the project management, consulting, advisory, project controls, procurement, supply chain, quality, and regulatory management capabilities of PTAG.

Indigenous Relationships and Partnering

We believe we have a responsibility towards our indigenous people and PTAG is a proud member of the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) program of the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB). We have committed to providing resources to educate members of the indigenous community in the areas of Project Management.  Leveraging this education, PTAG will help them become gainfully employed and prosper and continue the cycle of contributing to the community. We are committed to attaining PAIR certification as it aligns with our objective of supporting and developing our communities with an inclusive approach to help prosper the aboriginal community.

Youth Assistance Program

We are a strong believer that education is vital as it brings a change in society and leads to economic growth. Our mission is to bridge the gap between knowledge and knowledge seekers. PTAG is partners with 360KIDS, a community organization that assists homeless youth in York Region. Through this organization, PTAG can engage directly with the youth. PTAG is currently working with 360KIDS to support youth who are interested in the path of Project Management by guiding them towards the appropriate education channels as well as offering scholarships thus bringing positive change in our community.

Hospital for Sick Kids – The Activity Book

PTAG has been a proud supporter and sponsor of The Hospital Activity Book for Children between the ages 2-12 for the past 10 years which is produced and designed with children’s well-being in mind. It gives physical and mental care to advanced and specialized children. Over the years, the book distribution base has expanded to hospitals, medical service units, pediatric centers, victim service units, and many other services – wherever kids need a healthy distraction during a challenging time.

This act of kindness began with Gwen Altpeter, our first Consultant Services Manager who always went out of her way to ensure everyone at PTAG was always looked after. Gwen passed away in 2017 and PTAG continues to support Gwen’s legacy by contributing each year.

Wounded Warriors Canada

PTAG is proud and happy to support the cause and sponsors Wounded Warriors Canada and its events. It is an organization defined by the development and delivery of effective, evidence-based mental health programs for our Veterans, First Responders, and their families. Wounded Warriors, Canada has just launched a Trauma Resiliency Program (TRP): a group-based training program combining the power of a team approach with effective, trauma-resilient skill development. The TRP is a professionally facilitated program that helps participants acquire the necessary tools for overcoming the natural and understandable effects of traumatic exposure based on a clear understanding of the physical and social effects of traumatic injury. The program focuses on the value of hard work and the importance of peer recognition in transforming wounds into scars, and scars into roadmaps for resiliency.

Police Association of Ontario (PAO)

PTAG and PAO along with its affiliates across Ontario have a history of community support and involvement when it comes to underprivileged children. PAO believes in “Kids and Cops and Canadian Tire Fishing Days” as an example of their community spirit. They were able to pull a recreational fisheries conservation and helping the fishing in Ontario. PAO has its core values as Integrity, Respect, Collaboration, and Dedication which align with the values at PTAG.

The All-in Ontario Challenge

The All-in-Ontario Challenge was created in late July 2020 by a group of leaders from Bruce Power, the Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCNI), and many others to support the local community which were the most affected due to COVID-19.  PTAG partnered with Promation Nuclear in accepting the All-in-Ontario Challenge, a digital fundraising initiative designed to support our local small businesses in Bruce county.

PTAG also supports many local youth teams through donations and volunteer time to encourage the love of sports and sportsmanship. PTAG is an annual contributor to local charities including The Hospital for Sick Children, Saugeen First Nations, and various cancer fundraising initiatives.
